One of the advantages of buying materials from The Dreamscapes is that we work with these products ourselves. Our crews use soils, mulch, gravel, and stone in landscape installations, lawn projects, drainage work, planting beds, and outdoor spaces, so we understand how the materials behave after they leave the supply yard. If you are unsure which material fits the job, we can help you compare the options rather than simply point you toward a pile.

We can also help estimate how much material your project requires. Bring the approximate length and width of the area, along with the depth you plan to install, and our team can help determine the quantity to order. This is especially useful with bulk mulch, soil, and stone, where ordering too little can leave a project unfinished and ordering far too much creates another problem to solve.

Soils for Lawns, Gardens and Planting Areas

We carry screened topsoil for projects such as lawn repair, sod preparation, top dressing, raised beds, filling low areas, and improving existing planting areas. Choosing the right soil depends on what you are trying to accomplish, so a material used beneath new sod may not be the same blend you would choose for a vegetable garden or ornamental planting bed.

Our garden soil blends include compost and organic matter, with amendments selected for the intended application. Good soil preparation gives turf and plants a better starting point by improving the growing environment before seed, sod, trees, shrubs, or flowers are installed. Bulk Mulch and Pine Straw

The Dreamscapes Supply Yard carries several types of natural mulch, including popular dyed colors such as red, black, and dark walnut brown, along with Play Safe playground mulch. We also carry baled pine straw for pickup or delivery. Our colored mulches are guaranteed by the product supplier not to fade or lose their color for 12 months.

Mulch does more than give planting beds a finished appearance. A proper layer helps reduce moisture loss, protects exposed soil from the impact of heavy rain, moderates soil temperature, and can reduce weed pressure. Different materials also create different looks, so the choice should fit both the plants and the surrounding landscape.

We do not stock or recommend recycled rubber mulch. The Dreamscapes prefers natural mulch materials for residential landscapes and planting areas, particularly where the mulch will remain in direct contact with the soil around trees, shrubs, and other plants.

Gravel, Decorative Stone and Sand

Our supply yard also carries construction gravel, decorative stone, and sand for a variety of landscape projects. Crusher run and granite can be used for driveway and construction applications, while egg rock, river rock, and other decorative stone can be used along garden paths, drainage areas, dry creek beds, planting areas, and other parts of the property.

We stock materials in different shapes and sizes because the right stone depends on its job. Drainage rock needs to function differently from a decorative stone used beside a walkway, and the material selected for a driveway needs to handle traffic and compaction. When planning a bulk stone project, it also helps to know the approximate dimensions and desired depth before you arrive. Our team can help estimate the amount of gravel or stone needed so you have a more practical starting point for the project.

River Rock

Smooth river rock can be used for dry creek beds, rain gardens, ponds, waterfalls, drainage areas, and decorative landscape features. Using a mixture of stone sizes often creates a more natural appearance in creek beds and water features than using one uniform size throughout. The right size also depends on water movement and the scale of the surrounding landscape.
