Landscape Installation

Landscape Installation, Acworth, GA

A landscape plan only works when it is installed properly. Plant placement, soil preparation, bed layout, spacing, and the condition of the site all affect how the landscape will look now and how well it will grow over the years.

The Dreamscapes Design Build Maintain installs new landscapes and renovates existing ones for homeowners in Acworth and surrounding areas. Whether you are starting with a new plan or improving an established yard, our team handles the work involved in preparing the property and putting the landscape into place.

Installing a New Landscape

Landscape installation starts before the first plant goes into the ground. Existing conditions need to be considered, planting areas prepared, and the layout transferred accurately from the plan to the property.

Depending on the project, installation may include:

  • Preparing and reshaping planting beds
  • Improving or amending soil where needed
  • Installing trees, shrubs, perennials, and groundcovers
  • Establishing new lawn areas with sod or seed
  • Replacing plants that are poorly suited to the site
  • Finishing beds with mulch or other appropriate materials
  • Cleaning and defining planting areas after installation

The goal is not simply to fill empty areas with plants. Each part of the landscape should have enough room to grow, fit the conditions of the site, and make sense within the overall property.

Trees, Shrubs & Planting Beds

Trees and shrubs form much of the long term structure of a landscape, so choosing the right location matters just as much as choosing the plant itself. Sun exposure, shade, drainage, mature size, views, nearby structures, and the amount of maintenance a plant will require all influence where it should be placed.

Planting beds can be used to frame the home, soften hard edges, add privacy, separate areas of the yard, or bring seasonal color closer to patios, walkways, and entrances. A well planned bed should still make sense several years after installation, once the plants have matured.

We also look at what is already growing on the property. Healthy trees and established plants do not always need to be removed simply because the landscape is changing. When possible, existing plant material can be incorporated into the new layout and supplemented where the property needs more structure, color, screening, or variety.

Lawn & Groundcover Installation

Not every part of a property needs to become a planting bed. Lawn and groundcovers help connect the different areas of the landscape and provide practical surfaces around the home.

Where lawn areas need to be established or replaced, site conditions should be considered before new grass is installed. Sunlight, drainage, soil condition, and how the area will be used all affect how well a lawn performs. In shaded or difficult areas where turf repeatedly struggles, another planting approach may make more sense than continuing to replace grass.

Landscape Renovations & Replanting

Many landscape installation projects begin with an existing yard rather than a blank property. Plants may have outgrown their original locations, beds may have lost their shape, shrubs may block windows or walkways, and areas that once looked balanced may no longer work as the landscape matures.

A renovation does not always require removing everything and starting over. We can evaluate what is worth keeping, remove or relocate problem plants, reshape planting areas, and introduce new material where it will make the biggest difference.

This approach works especially well for homeowners who like parts of their existing landscape but want the property to feel cleaner, more intentional, and easier to maintain.

From Landscape Design to Installation

If you already know what you want changed, landscape installation may be the next step. If the property needs a new overall layout, major changes to how the yard is used, or coordination between several outdoor areas, it may make more sense to begin with our Landscape Design services.

A clear plan before installation helps make sure plantings, lawn areas, outdoor features, and future improvements all work together rather than being added one project at a time.
