Great drainage starts with a great grade which should be done by someone who understands water flow and how to direct it properly. Eliminating the needs for drain pipes whenever possible is ideal. Natural drainage solutions are my first choice, but but some properties can be very challenging due to budgets, fences, patios or other items added after the original grade was set. In these cases we can use catch basins (boxes) and piping to collect and redirect water to the most suitable drainage area.

Grading, Sodding, and Drainage System Installation

Dreamscapes does both grading, sodding and drainage systems. We primarily recommend PVC drainage pipe. Black corrugated drainage pipe is inexpensive but produces short-term results, as its brittle nature can cause holes to develop shortly after-or even before installation. These holes can be as small as a finishing nail or a pinhole. Roots find these small holes and due to moisture and temperatures they expand inside the pipe like a hydroponic system. Spending a little extra saves more in the long run.
